JAIPUR: Rajasthan Royals produced a splendid show on the field on Sunday but matters off the pitch left their skipper Shane Warne seething.
Just before the start of the match against Pune Warriors, the pitch at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium was put under the scanner with the arrival of IPL pitch inspector Venkat Sundaram.
The events on Sunday were a direct result of a formal complaint lodged by Mumbai Indians management after they lost to Royals by seven wickets on Friday, with the visitors just managing 94-9 from 20 overs on a wearing track.

"What has happened is very disappointing. We have seen how the pitches in Kolkata and Kochi have played, with balls hardly bouncing off the surface but no one complains," Warne said after their six-wicket victory.
